Welcome fellow humans, who the writing is on the wall. Radio broadcast coming to you from w H K w 1220 a Salem radio station. This program is a non-religious non-spiritual investigation of everything we can discern that was created, recorded, and modeled for us in the Bible. Now that’s my standard opening and I’ve used it nine months. And I tell you that the reason I’m doing this is because I’m trying to find the way to relate to fellow Christians. Exactly what was in the Bible, because our religion is a barrier between us and God and between us and what Jesus us wanted us to do. God wants us to grow up. Jesus was sent to show us how first though, he had to learn what our sticking points were by growing up as a human. He did not come as a baby for any kind of authoritarian reason.

There was no issue. He was not better than anyone. He came and grew as a human so that he could understand by growing up as a human, what our problem was, why we could not put ourselves in another shoe. And he found out that because of our understanding from birth, that we were the most important things in our universe, in our world that and that everyone else was second and that our opinions mattered most. And we would give up those opinions to someone that we felt was superior. In other words, we decided, so instead of what was in the Bible, so that’s why I’ve had this program and will continue to have it for a while. And what I’ve been trying to get across is what will Christians accept as a rollback, as a point to which they should give up, or at least set aside much of the dogma that they have learned and that they have agreed to, and that they have accepted and that they quote believe in unquote for what is in the Bible, because they are not the same things. Now, there are things in the Bible that are dogma and that are in the Bible with the words of God and Jesus, if you’re old enough, you’ll remember that there used to be Bibles printed in what they called red letter editions. The red letter printing in the Bible were the words of God and the words of Jesus, all human interactions, words, suggestions were printed in black, on white.

So that the things that actually came from God and came from Jesus were set aside were special. Those are the things that cannot be changed and either added to, or taken away very important that you understand that and that you understand the difference. Nowadays, it’s all printed in black, on white, including God’s words and Jesus words. So it’s impossible practically to separate them between what they actually said and what other people thought about what they said, fallible human people. They thought, whoa, this is what God meant, or this is what Jesus meant. And it’s in the Bible too, but it’s in the Bible for a very, very specific reason. And that is for us to discern the difference between human justifications and the elemental stuff that God and Jesus wanted us to know because humans are imperfect and there’s no way around it. And that’s fine. There’s no need for us to be perfect, but there is a need for us to separate human imperfection from the perfection of God or Jesus. Now the perfection that they spoke of, we don’t think of that. We think of perfect, not only as complete, but as unassailable.

And that’s because we relate perfection to God and Jesus. Now that’s fine as far as they’re concerned, but do you know how many times every week, every month when I recite something to someone over the phone and they write it down, they say, perfect. No, it’s not perfect. I’m glad that you got it, but that doesn’t make it perfect. This is the tack that I’m going to take. And first book that I’m gonna be write writing is four Christians. And I don’t know if I’ll call it red letter edition or something like that, but I need to draw very succinctly the differences between what humans a and think and feel and what God and Jesus has said and thought and felt because what they had for us is not only unassailable and perfect. It is the model for us. It is the example of what we should try for are so that all the things that are reported in the Bible, in human terms, by humans who were on the scene and gave us their best understanding of what Jesus said, still didn’t get the entire thing.

And that’s the point. If we who want to be Christians actually understood what Jesus said, then the world would be in a completely different place than it is now completely different, but that’s not what happened. And that’s okay because God has a plan for humanity and it’s still working. This is something that we don’t take into account. Now in the past, I’ve mentioned ecclesia as these three to you. Everybody’s familiar with this song where people might age by the birds, turn, turn, turn, everything has a season. Well, it turns out that that is not just a generalization.

It’s true. There are seasons and everything does continue to turn, but in the life of a human of not just an individual human, but the human race, there is a season and it is time for us to become adults. It’s time. It’s time for us to give up our childish ideas and desires for fan of see life and to face reality and deal with it. And step over the line to be responsible adults. Now, a lot of people who are Christians say, well, I’ve done that. You have done that as far as your religion is concerned. And perhaps even as far as your community is concerned, and those are important aspects, but they’re not the same thing. As far as God is concerned, God’s standard is higher than what other humans will expect from and accept from other humans.

Total commitment is what God expects. And the Bible is just throughout says, I will let whoever seeks me wholeheartedly without reservation. Find me. And that’s the secret. It’s not really a secret because it’s in so many different places I can think of at least seven in the old Testament. So it’s not a secret. And it’s many places in Bible said, where will we have to send for this knowledge? You won’t have to send anywhere for it. It’s here in front of you. That’s also a biblical quote. The Bible absolutely does have the information we need, but we cannot be simplistic children. And just say you that whatever is in the Bible is automatically accepted. Only the words of God and Jesus. The red letter version are those things that can be automatically accepted the human just and allowances for what was made. Also the, what I call the sales speeches are theirs to show us that we are fallible and that we are children and that we were poking about in the dark and continue to poke about in the dark until we open our eyes do, as Jesus told us to do and step over the line from subjective decision making, where everything is about you and your thoughts and your feelings, and what you think is best over the line to objective decision making, where you become secondary to the spirit of man, to the idea that Jesus tried to teach us that we were all in this together, and none of us are gonna get ahead of any of the other of us that there’s only one way to succeed.

And that is by creating the church of Jesus Christ here on earth and not a religion.

Religion is what call kill Jesus. Religion is what turned the Jews away from God. Religion is what is a buffer between us and God, because we tell each other that is a wonderful thing. And then we accept that wonderful thing from one another and do not go deeper to try and find out what the difference is between our religion and the human justifications for creating that religion and the red letter speeches from Jesus and God. So that is gonna be my tack. That is what I’m gonna try and write in the book. All the different instances that I can see where mankind said one thing, even though he thought it was Germa to what Jesus said or what God said and the reality of what Jesus said, and God said, and why not only why there’s such a huge gap between the two, but why did God do it in that fashion? Why did God send Jesus? Well, I told you that one already. So that one shouldn’t be tough. He sent Jesus to discover what our sticking point was, why 4,000 years after we were on earth, we were not moving forward. We were not getting more sophisticated, more mature in our thought processes.

Now I happen to believe, and it is a belief that is not yet supported by my research in the Bible that God always knew that we would have this problem. Always not just at 700 BC when Isaiah was saying this, but I’m not sure because I cannot find anywhere where the need for Jesus existed before that Jeremiah, it was not reported to Jeremiah in his discussion with God. It wasn’t until Isaiah that the decision was something that God spoke to about man to prepare us . And the reason that Jesus came at that time, not because he was expected to automatically turn it around, but because the Jews had a need, a desire for a Messiah, they wanted a political and Marshall mastermind who would use the powers of God to overturn human hierarchies because their religion had created them as a human hierarchy, dealing with other human hierarchies. And they forgot that God was over everything and everyone, maybe they didn’t believe it by then because they had their religion. They did not need God.

I know it’s shocking to say those kinds of things, but they hid God from the rest of world until Jesus. And at that point, they could no longer hide God. He was no longer just a religion of a sect of people’s that lived in Levant. He was no longer just one of many because of the miracles. And Jesus said, I know you’re here for the miracles, but because of those, everybody had to pay attention. And because people converted from Judaism to Christianity, people had to pay attention. They gave up all the certainty of their religion and their community in order to become something else and to work, to try and community, to create a community there. Hmm.

And they had some success, but not as much as they would like until God got another helper for him and turned one of their chief persecutors Saul into their chief benefactor, Paul and it’s in the Bible. What had to happen to Paul in order to break that hardhearted hardheaded zeitgeist that he had and show him the way. So that’s why we’re still studying in Ephesians. Paul wrote to the people at Ephesus to explain to them what it was that they needed to understand. So last week we were talking about Ephesians and we’re talking about it for very important reason. And that is, Paul starts off Ephesians five by saying, imitate God.

Now, how are they supposed to imitate? God, God believes in man. I know it’s hard to believe cuz we don’t believe in each other. That’s so much. And he loves us and he wants us to respond to the offers that he’s made the opportunity for us to mature grow up and become the willing servants that will take over the household. I’m sure you know, the prodigal son. Well, we, humans are in the place of the prodigal son. That story by Jesus was for us, all of us, not just one person that was for every human being on earth. And he had to get to the point where he had done everything he could and that he could think of. And he had spent all his money and he had listened to foolish people and he had done every stupid thing that he could imagine. And then he did a few more and he wound up poor and broke and no friends because they were just there for the money. They were there for the ride and he was trying to eat slop out of P pig, leavings, whatever the pigs missed. He would try and get in and grab some of, and he said to him, this is ridiculous.

I know I’ve hurt my father, but perhaps he will allow me to come work for him. As a servant, his servants are well fed and housed and clothed and they are doing something worthwhile for their master. Perhaps he will let me become a servant. And so then he set out to go back to the household that he had spurned that he could beg his father’s forgiveness, not to become his son again, but to become a servant because he had taken his heritage and wasted it with Thanksgiving coming up the day after tomorrow, we are not thankful enough for the opportunity that God has given us. We don’t talk about it. We just assume that it’s ours by right? Because we were born onto this planet.

It is not, it is an opportunity. If you don’t make the most of the opportunities, God gives you, then you will fail. And when you fail, we know what that’ll do. That’s what hell is, hell is for people who fail, who don’t get with the program who don’t Abdur evil, who are instead consumed by it and waste the, their lives and the opportunity that they were given in eating and drinking and propagate sex, drugs, anything, and everything that takes up your time and takes it away from you and your opportunity to respond to the offer that God may aid for you and put you on earth to enjoy anything and everything you do that takes you away from that is evil. By definition, that’ll be in Ephesians six and we will study that. But right now imitate God. Well, the thing that God does that humans do not do and that Jesus did. And that other humans do not do is they face reality. Now I’m sure you think God doesn’t need to face reality. He can do with reality, whatever he wants.

Okay. Why would he want reality to be anything other than the demanding Blackboard against which everything has a purpose. I know that, you know the words to John won one in the beginning, but your religion has told you, oh, that means Jesus was part of God in the beginning because it’s in the new Testament. It must be about Jesus, right? But what John, one, one tells you is that God is all about reality. Reality is God, there’s no fantasy. There’s no juxtaposition of any elements or anything. There’s no tinkering with results. None of that is God, God is reality. God is love. And the two are two ends of the same stick, but you need to respond to it as a human and learn what it was that Jesus tried to teach you. And that’s why I’m here. And that’s why I am gonna do a red letter edition or version. I’m not sure what I’ll call it yet, but I’m going to put all the explanations in for what Jesus did and why he did it and why God sent him in order to get it done. Because all we have are explanations. People who meant well, but didn’t understand, but because they’re in the Bible, most of a Christ us Christians just accept the fact that if it’s in the Bible, it must be true and correct.

God words are true and correct. Jesus’s words are true and correct. Man’s words are true, but not necessarily correct. They’re there to help us weigh one against the other and find out where the fallacies are, where the problems are. Well, it’s coming up on the break here pretty quick. So I’m, that’s what I’m outlining for you. The red letter edition and what it’s going to contain, but we will talk some more about Ephesians five and Ephesians six. When you come back after the break.

Welcome fellow humans. Welcome back from the break to the writing is on the wall. Radio broadcast coming to you from w H K w 1220 a Salem radio station I’m TA. And to see evening, we’re having a conversation about the red letter version of the Bible and the difference between God’s words and Jesus’ words that are listed in the Bible and humans words that are listed in the Bible because we are children and we want everything to be easy. We just paint it all with the same brush. And that is, oh, well this is all correct because it’s in the Bible. It’s God’s word. And wait a minute.

The Bible is God’s word. The Bible contains God’s words, but they also contain human understandings. Now those human understandings are between 30 502,000 years ago. We’ve learned a lot in the last 2000 years. If they thought about it at all back then, I’m sure that they thought the earth was flat. It’s not, I hope that’s not a shock to you. There are many other things that they thought of back then that they thought were true, but those are not the things that are written in red. Those are the things in black and white, and we as Christians should pay primary attention to the things that are written in red. The words of Jesus it’s important because of difference. You probably don’t know or understand that your eyes are a certain distance apart and that one is stronger than the other for a reason.

And that reason is so that you will have a primary look at what is happening and the secondary will provide depth. How important it is it to have depth perception, you couldn’t drive a car without it. You could write something down without it. And there are people who have only one eye and they can tell you all about the lack of depth perception trying to reach for a cup is not easy. Trying to reach for anything that you’re not already holding. When you don’t have depth, perception is extremely difficult, but you grew up with two operating eyes. And as you grew up, they organized themselves to feed information to your brain in a way that you could learn to understand it. And that was part of growing up, at least the physical part . So you have depth perception in your vision.

The black printing in the Bible versus the red printing is there to give you depth perception about what Jesus said and what the humans thought he meant. Now these thoughts were 2000 years ago. So what they thought was important and viable back then is what they alluded to from the things that he did. And from the words that he spoke and what you need to ask yourself is, Hmm, have we learned something or quite a few things in the last 2000 years that it would give me a better view of what the red letters were trying to tell me.

Now, if you cannot answer yes to that, then you are lost to your religion. You are not a Christian. You are a purveyor of dogma. You are a believer in the faith of humans, not in the word of God. I know that’s difficult to hear. People have never really told you that, but it’s the truth. There is a difference between what God said and what man thought he said, even though they’re both in the Bible, because they’re both in the Bible to give us a perception, a point of view, a point at which we can use our discernment to try and understand what it is that God wanted us to know what Jesus wanted us to know. And why, if you read John, the gospel of John, when they’re in the upper room and after the trader has left, he’s explaining to the remaining disciples, the difference between a servant and a friend, a servant does they’re instructed. They do not have to understand why a friend on the other hand may act as a servant, but they always are expected to work, to discover why they need to separate action from the integrity of understanding. Because a friend wants you to understand why they do what they do.

If you’re a servant, no one cares. If you understand, you’re just supposed to do. But if you’re a friend, especially if you’re a Christian, acting like a servant is important, but understanding why you’re acting like a servant is more important. And that’s the difference between religion, where you’re told to act like a servant and be obedient and being a Christian, as Jesus determined, you should be by becoming a friend. So if you’re a friend of Jesus, that means you’re always working on trying to understand why he told us to do as he did it. No man go with unto the father. But by doing, as I do now, many translations will say, no, man, go with unto the father, but by me and allow you to think that all you have to be is obedient rather than understanding.

And you have been suckered into a religion. Now, the problem is these folks, many of whom are wonderful. People do not realize that they are sucking you into this because they were into it because people they respected, stood up in front of them and swore that they knew and understood what it was that Jesus wanted. And that was for us to be obedient. But if you don’t know why you’re being obedient, you are not a friend of Jesus and you don’t have to understand it from the get go. He wanted them to treat other people as servants, but he also wanted his disciples as friends to understand why re John chapters 14 through 17. And you will get a much clearer picture of what it is that Jesus expects from those who follow him.

And it’s important that you get that picture because without that, you’ll go the way of religion and dogma, which is exactly what, how the, the Jews failed. And you will fail also because that is the way of humans. That is the way of failure. That’s the way of evil and death. And it’s not as though these people are trying to harm you. They don’t know any better, but they are following the subjective decision making path that they grew up with. And didn’t understand starting in John three, where Jesus is trying to tell them, you need to switch from subjective decision making, where everything is about you and what you think is good. What will support you and benefit you and make you feel good to the objective decision making path. And it’s where you are a cell in the body of man and do everything for the benefit of everyone, not just yourself.

It’s a big difference. That’s why he told Nicodemus. It’s like being born again. Once you step over the threshold and make decisions objectively, you quit sitting. And once you understand that, that is the way to live your life as Christ instructed and help your brothers and sisters to grow up and become part of the responsible human beings that we all need to be in order to be the successful children of God, the obedient children of God, the end enlightened children of God who are friends of Jesus. First, once we step over that threshold, your sins fall away because as he said at the last forgive them father for, they know not what they do, but once you know, and once you understand, and once you put aside self and trying to make your place in the world, a world that is filled with evil, a world that wants to suck you in and keep you and Royal in its embrace so that you can’t step across so that you can’t succeed so that you will not grow up.

This is the problem. And that is the segue. If you will, to Ephesians six, starting in verse 10, finally receive your power from the Lord. And from his mighty strength, put on all the armor that God supplies in this way, you can take a stand against the devil’s strategy. Now stepping over the line and making, creating a space for yourself to make decisions objectively and to relate to the world through Christ example for God. And for humanity changes you from a human in the world to a child of God, but you will be attacked. You need to put on all the armor that God supplies. Now, what armor could that be?

God is the God of reality. Making your decisions based on reality rather than desire or fantasy or belief. Any of those things is what God wants from you. So reality is the basis for the armor that God gives you and you fashion it. Using the materials he gave you. Once you step over and become an objective decision maker, a friend of Jesus, verse 12, this is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.

Now we tell one another through our religion, that evil does not exist in the heavenly world. Only here on earth. Paul disagrees, did he know more than you? Most of us would say yes, verse 13. For this reason, take up all the armor that God’s flies. Then you’ll be able to take a stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles, you’ll be better able to stand your ground. This is all very important. He’s writing this to the people at ESUs. This is his closing. If you will, knowing that they are going to get people who are trying to tear them apart and tell them things that are not true back in five. I believe it was where he said , don’t be foolish verse 15, 5 15. So then be very careful how you live. Don’t live like foolish people, but like wise people make the most of your opportunities because these are evil days. So don’t be full, but understand what the Lord wants. There’s that word? Understand? Didn’t say obey.

Paul said understand verse 18. Don’t get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living instead be filled with the spirit verse 20, always thank God. The fodder for everything in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ and is starting with verse 21. Ephesians five is the part that a lot of people disagree with. Mainly women where he says wives, play yourselves under your husband’s authority. As you have placed yourselves under the Lord’s authority, the husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. As the church is under Christ’s authority. So wives are their husband’s authority in everything. Everything, because husbands are responsible to God for their families, including their wives. Verse 25. Husbands love your wives. As Christ, love the church and gave his life for it. He did this to make the church holy by cleansing it, washing it, using water. Along with spoken words, I hope you’re understanding here that actions are important, but understanding in is more important. If you don’t understand why you do what you do, then you can be easily sidetracked very easily, because you’re mainly going through the motions. A man who loves his wife, loves himself. As Christ takes care of the church, he should take care of his family. We are parts of his body. That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and be United with his wife. And the two will be one

Christ’s relationship to the church is a great mystery, but every husband must love his wife as he loves himself and WIS should respect their husbands. Now remember right, this chapter, chapter five and Ephesians started off with the two words imitate God. So the problems that we are suffering here on earth are because we have not gotten with the program. We have mushed everything to gather into one big lump, and we have not used the tools or the methodologies given to us from God and Jesus through the Bible to discern the difference between human and God, Between the things that humans do to impress other humans and to live in the world and the things that God asked us to do and sent Jesus to inform us how to do them.

So the Bible can be our savior if we allow it. But when we look at it in 2000 year old eyes through lenses that were created before, they understood that the earth wasn’t flat, then we’re not giving God our first fruits. We are not responding to what we know. Now the sciences have come along and they are not Antigo, but there are plenty of people who are Antigo and will try to use the sciences to separate people from the church and from each other. So the thing to do is not to spur science, but to use it. And the knowledge of reality that it has given you to understand what it is that God wanted you to know and wanted you to understand so badly that he sent Jesus to inform you how and to try and make it easier for you to get with the pro, because that’s all, this is, we have an opportunity to get with the program. And if we allow anything to take us away from that, if we waste our time, instead of getting with the program, then it’s on us because God gave us the not only the opportunity, but he gave us our savior and he gave us the model and examples that we need along with the instructions and directions, not only to find him, but to find out what we need to do.

So this week’s program is coming to an end. And I want to thank you and ask you to look forward for the red letter edition. And I guess I have a couple more minutes than I thought. Okay. I don’t. So we’ll talk to you next week, sometime you very much after the holidays and have a happy Thanksgiving and give thanks to God.
